There are many talented students at Andrew Lewis. Among those students, there is a multitude of athletes. These students are committed to their sports while keeping up with school work and other activities. Two students that stand out at our school are Bailey Stratton and Bryson Fraction, not only for their athletic abilities but their well-rounded personalities.
Bailey Stratton is an eighth-grader here at Andrew Lewis. She has a very determined and outgoing personality. Bailey plays basketball, volleyball, and lacrosse. Her favorites are basketball and lacrosse. She plays setter in volleyball, a point guard in basketball, and in lacrosse, she plays center midfield. Bailey has been playing sports for half of her life. At age 7 she started playing basketball and shortly after that, at age 9 she started lacrosse. Her favorite part about being on a team is meeting new people and getting to know them. Bailey became interested in volleyball because her mom used to coach it and she went to the practices and games. Bailey wears different numbers for each sport. For volleyball, she is 10, lacrosse 46, and basketball 20. She does well at keeping up with all of her sports and school work. Bailey also is a leader and an outgoing person.
Bryson Fraction is also a very talented seventh grader here at ALMS. He plays football and basketball. Bryson has played basketball for 5 years and just started football this past year. His favorite sport is basketball. In football, Bryson wears number 10 and is a safety and wide receiver. For basketball at Andrew Lewis, he plays point guard, shooting guard, and small forward. Outside of school Bryson likes to play video games and play for the Virginia Vipers AAU basketball team. Bryson’s dad got him into playing sports because football and basketball games were always on tv. Bryson takes after his dad because basketball and football were also his father’s favorite sports as a child. Bryson multi-tasks by keeping up with school work and working hard at sports. He always has a good attitude and is ready to give it his best at everything he does.
At Andrew Lewis, we have many talented student-athletes who work hard every day. Bryson and Bailey are two examples of student athletes that excell in sports and academics. Both have good work habits and leadership abilities. They are role models for their peers. Keep up the good work Bailey and Bryson!
